Children's Appointments
Homeopathy and children go togther like peas in a pod. Babies and children respond beautifully to the gentle effects of homeopathic medicine, helping them to overcome childhood illnesses or conditions from birth. Whether your child is experiencing anxiety or temper tantrums, homeopathy can help bring calm and equanimity
What should I expect?
Your initial appointment will last between 90 and 120 minutes, providing yourself and Amanda the time to explore the essential information concerning your child's health, habits and obstacles.
The consultation can take place via zoom or in our dedicated children's room at DRCS
Observation of your baby or child is very important in reaching a good prescription. Therefore it is essential that they attend the session, even for a short while. If you are attending in person, you can bring along a relative to makes things easier.
Can I talk to you alone?
Yes. We can arrange your appointment to suit, if talking in front of your child is too difficult or if your child finds it too uncomfortable.
What happens next?
Your first in-depth consultation combined with your completed health form, helps Amanda to establish a foundation of understanding of you and your child's personal situation and provides the basis on which to begin an effective, treatment plan.
How long will it take to receive the first prescription?
Prescriptions for new patients are shipped on the Monday after your appointment. If the correct prescription is not readily available and needs to be ordered form the homeopathic pharmacy, then your prescription will be shipped on the Wednesday after your appointment. Your prescription form will be emailed to you separately (unless you have requested a paper copy).
Once your prescription has arrived, please read the emailed prescription sheet carefully and contact Amanda if you are unsure of any aspect.
To assist in tracking your progress accurately, it is helpful to keep notes of any changes, whether they are physical, mental or emotional. Of course, this is only a suggestion and not an expectation.
Can I contact you afterwards?
Once treatment is underway, you can send update messages to Amanda via WhatsApp to ensure close monitoring in the early stages.
When will I see you again?
3-4 weeks after your initial appointment. Your first follow up appointment can take place from the comfort of your home via zoom, or in person at DRCS.
